Terms of Use

The short version: we give information, not advice, and we're not your lawyer.

Legal information, not legal advice. Paper Alibi gives legal information to help you get organized. It does not give legal advice about your specific case.

No lawyer through this tool. Using Paper Alibi does not connect you with a lawyer and does not create an attorney-client relationship. You review and decide what to do.

Not a law firm. Paper Alibi is not a law firm and does not practice law. It is a self-help organizer that collects public information into one planning tool.

The law can change. State and local laws change over time, and the rules on this site may become out of date. Every rule links to its official source. Please check the source links for the current text before you act.

Free forms and free legal help exist. You can use free public forms and free legal-help resources on your own. They are linked throughout each state's guide, including official statutes, court forms, and free legal-aid resources.

Not affiliated. Paper Alibi is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency, court, legal-aid organization, Stripe, or any organization linked on this site.

Payments. Optional paid kits, when available, are paid through Stripe. Paper Alibi does not receive or store your full payment-card number. If a payment fails or you cancel checkout, return to the planner and try again only if you still want the kit.

Refunds and access. Digital products are delivered through the site after checkout. Refunds are handled case by case, especially for duplicate charges, access failures, or technical problems. Email hello@paperalibi.com with the checkout email and a short note about what happened.

Privacy and analytics. The planner saves answers on your device. We use Google Analytics 4 for basic site traffic only. Do not type private details into any field unless you are comfortable keeping them on that device. We do not send planner answers, names, addresses, landlord information, dispute facts, letter text, or payment-card details to Google Analytics.
